Review:
I was really looking forward to reading latest instalment front the diaries of Bridget Jones as I had grown bored of the repetitiveness of the previous two books in the series (my review of Bridget Jones's Diary can be found here, and my review of Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason can be found here).
However, I was bitterly disappointed. Whilst the plot is good, I still found it quite repetitive. Yes, granted, she is in entirely different circumstances; but, in my opinion, the themes were the same and all Fielding had actually done was put a different spin on it. I understand that Bridget is lonely. I understand that she wants a boyfriend. I do not need to be told this about a million different times over the course of three books.
Nonetheless, the characters themselves, especially Bridget, kept me intrigued through her wacky, and unlucky, life. All of the old characters from the previous books, including Daniel Cleaver, made an appearance and new characters in the form of her children, Billy and Mabel, and her toy-boy love interest, Roxster. I really liked these new characters as they made the, otherwise repetitive, plot line fresh. Similarly, by including the older characters; it helped show how Bridget's life had changed and helped provide a sense of closure to the older characters.

Similarly, I loved the ending in particular as it provided a sense of closure to all three novels. I hate the say this but... hopefully, by ending it in this way, it means that there will be no more books in the series..
This could not, however, make up for the fact that I was left really disappointed after reading it.
Anyway, it beat watching the England vs. Uruguay World Cup match... (Yes, I did read a book whilst everyone was watching the football. I mean, seriously, there was no point in cheering them on; we were destined to lose anyway).
Rating: 5/10.
