Review:
What I really love about John Green books is that you can completely turn off and not think because they are so easy to read and understand. Will Grayson, Will Grayson did not disappoint and I found this to be such an easy read.
The two Will's both act as protagonists with the story being told from both of their perspectives. This was done with different typography and writing styles to portray the different characters mindset and mentality. I really like how this was done as it created two different voices for the characters. Upon reflection, contrast is therefore a key theme throughout the plot. For example, the two Will's have two completely different lives both socially and mentally. Nonetheless, they are both lovable in their own little ways!
Whilst I did enjoy the book, the plot was slow and I did struggle to pick it up and continue reading. In my opinion, the plot drags on and heads nowhere until the very end when it just suddenly ends. But, if you want a book where you do not have to think - and can just read - does this even matter?
Like all Green books, there is not much to say. Lovable characters? Check. Meaningful message? Check. Plot where you do not have to think? Check.
Rating: 6/10. Not as good as Green's other books but worth a read if you are bored.
