Review:
I have to admit it took me a while to get into this book, but once I did get into it; it was a nice way to pass a couple of hours, which I would have otherwise spent procrastinating from university work!

I thought the setting was the most interesting aspect of the plot as with the story being set in a small and rural town; it was nice how all the characters revolved around the local pub/hotel and how everybody made it their business to find out and cast suspicion on who the murderer was. I have to admit though, it all reminded me a bit of an episode of Emmerdale... everyone was just a bit too chummy for my liking!
Similarly, whilst the murderer was a complete shock and plot twist; I think the motive behind the murders was made a bit too obvious from the start. I think it could have done with a bit of rethink and a bit more covering up to keep readers guessing!
This was the first book I have read by Christopher Kenworthy, and it will definitely not be the last. I really liked his ideas and his ability to create interesting relationships between characters. In the future I hope he continues to develop his writing style and plot techniques to ensure the story flows more, as I feel these aspects, from reading Waiting to Die, could be improved.
