Review:
I had heard a lot of good reviews about this book but none of them prepared me for how thrilling and gripping it is. I loved it. The characters. The plot. The possibility of the world ending. Perfect.

I have been trying to read older books for a while now and nothing quite stands up to the mark of The Andromeda Strain. It was thrilling from the very first page and kept me hooked. I have never actually been a huge fan of thrillers as I never actually find them thrilling and they often take too much effort to read, but this is one exception. The plot builds perfectly throughout as the scientists figure out what is happening and how they can prevent the spread of the disease, putting their own lives in danger. Similarly, I found it quite simply to be a pleasurable read which kept me entertained and allowed me to relax.

My one qualm with the plot is that everything kind of happens at once at the end and then stops. This made me quite confused as to what was happening. But considering that the rest of the book was perfect; I can overlook this.

Rating: 9/10. Read it. Now.
