Review:
Okay, so I have not enjoyed the A Song of Ice and Fire series that much recently, and I was not expecting much from this installment - particularly as my boyfriend forewarned me that this book was pretty boring - but I thought this book was actually okay...ish.
Surprisingly, I actually found myself liking characters which I had hated previously, like Cersei, as you get to see another side of her - a side which shows she is not just, to the blunt, a heartless cow. I also found myself getting quite annoyed with my favourite characters, like Arya Stark, as her narrative and character directions seems to be drifting further and further away from where I think she should be going.
In regards to the plot, this book is really boring and I think this is meant to act as more of a bridge between the fight for the Iron Throne and possible arrival of Daenerys Targaryen, who will change everything. However, this is just where I think the series is going and I am probably wrong!
