Review:
Virals, and the other books in the series, are my guilty pleasure. They may be cheesy but they are well-written and engaging for all ages! I have no idea why more people do not know about them!

Tory is the niece of Temperance Brennan, the protagonist of Reichs other crime series which is aimed at adults. Even though parallels are drawn between the two series; Reichs has successfully adapted her writing style within the books to appeal to their respective audiences. Reich has successfully achieved this through the use of first person narrative as it sets an informal, chatty tone throughout.

The characters are so relatable and remind me of the Famous 5! There were occasions where I just burst out laughing at some of the things they did or said (I know my best friend will agree with me here!).

One of the things that I did not particularly like was that Reich has joined the werewolves and supernatural movement. To her credit she has tried to refresh the idea by adding her own twists and ideas into the concept (and it kind of works) but I feel as though she has included it for the sake of including it. I think the series would have been much more successful as a crime series for young adults.

Rating: 6/10.
