Review:
I read a book (finally)! I got Hollow City, the sequel to Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children (review can be found here), back in October for my birthday and thanks to the Christmas break - I have finally gotten around to reading it.

When I started reading the book, I remembered how much I love Riggs's writing style and the quirky black and white pictures featured throughout the story. They really add something to his writing and makes it so unique and engaging.

However, unlike Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children, I found myself drifting through the book and not really paying attention to what was happening or to the characters. The first book was something different and fresh but I ultimately feel as though this sequel, and the third book (which I have not read yet) were just written so there could be three films and to make money...

Whilst, in my opinion, this is not as good as the first; it is still worth a read if you enjoyed the first one and want to know what happens to the characters.

Rating: 7/10. Not as good as the first...
